Scott Keeney joins RCS Real Estate Advisors
General Growth workout vet now aiding retailers

Mr. Keeney, a former senior vice-president of leasing management with General Growth Properties, has joined RCS Real Estate Advisors, a small New York retail real estate firm whose business advising struggling merchants is growing.
Mr. Keeney, 51, resigned from General Growth in December, one of many senior executives to depart the beleaguered REIT in the months before it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Thursday. He says General Growth's financial woes aren't the result of poor financial performance of its properties but rather its inability to refinance debt.
